Yotta Data Services and Bhashini have teamed up to prove something very important: India is now fully ready to run massive Artificial Intelligence systems on its own, without needing help from foreign companies. They recently moved the entire Bhashini platform from international servers to Yotta’s own "Shakti Cloud" right here in India.

This is a big deal because it means all the data and AI models stay safely within the country. They tested this system during the massive Maha Kumbh event, where millions of people used an AI assistant to get translations and voice help in over 11 Indian languages. Surprisingly, running this on Indian servers turned out to be 40% faster and 20-30% cheaper than using foreign ones, and it didn't crash even once.

They moved a huge amount of data—over 200 terabytes and 3.5 billion files—without losing a single thing. This success shows that India has the power to build, manage, and scale its own AI infrastructure. It sets a great example for the government and other businesses to follow, proving that we don't need to rely on global tech giants for our digital future. We now have our own complete AI stack, from the cloud to the language models.
